Fair winds and following seas for your next journey at your respective Academies. Be sure to join the USNA Plebe Parents listserve if you have a USNA bound NAPSter. The link is https://www.usna.com/NetCommunity/SSLPage.aspx?&pid=528&srcid=425.
It's good to connect with others along the way!

Comments: First, I'd like to thank everyone for all the help this past year! I can't seem to access the USNA calendar for our 2011 Plebes; in particular, I'm looking for dates starting from I-Day thru Parent's Weekend. It is our understanding hotel reservations must be made promptly. Is there a particular site where I can find a calendar or access this information? Many, many thanks and good luck to all our sons and daughters!!!

HI Judy, congratulations on a successful year at NAPS!

There are two calendars that are helpful:
http://www.usna.edu/acdean/calendars/calendars.html
and the Academic calendar on this page:
http://www.usna.edu/PAO/calendars.htm

Also, I'd like to remind the Class of 2011 Parents to sign up for the USNA Plebe Parents Listserve. Over the next weeks before I-Day they will be sharing alot of information and it's a great resource for you all. To get on the listserve send your request email to Towanda at: dcandtc@aol.com

Comments: I thought I remembered Capt Hautau saying in his I-Day address in Aug that there were 278 M/C and 59 were women. If there were 220 graduates on Fri at 10, keep in mind that there was an earlier graduation ceremony for those who may not have had a 2.0, but were offered appointments at the Naval Academy. I thought there were 25 students under a 2.0, 2 decided not to go, and 5 were not offered appointments. It is probably best we wait for the official results, since this is based on what the M/C heard, and my ever aging memory. Best of Luck to ALL ! GO NAVY!

Hi Joy, I agree. Let's not speculate. Once the official #'s are released from the command we'll share them here. Thanks all and again congratulations!

Comments: If I remember correctly NAPS '07 started with 270, I don't recall the breakdown.

Hi, the NAPS Command will release the #'s some time next week. Once we receive the official #'s I will post them here.

I hope everyone had a wonderful time in Newport. Enjoy your intercession. :)

Comments: The numbers presented at the graduation ceremony were 220 graduates, 19 Coast Guard Candidates and 201 Midshipman Candidates. I do know that not all of the graduates accepted their appointments, because at least one of the Marine priors chose to go back to the fleet.

I was wondering if anyone had the number any more of how many Napster started in the class of 07.
