Comments: Wow! I was just searching for Wesley Drug Store (I saw a commercial on Tv that had a Wesley Drug Store in the background!) and found your site. I also "opened" Greenfield and Berkshire! And your picture of the "trail" to Greenfield brought back a flood of memories, including the "tree house" that was there! i recently drove through the old neighborhood, our house was on W Rutland, and it looks so much the same, except with bigger trees.
Thanks for the memories! Jeeze, don't I sound old?

Comments: Nancy,

Wow, I am just blown away by your Groves website and information about the old neighborhood. As someone else who also opened Greenfield School in 1st Grade (I remember going to Baldwin for kindergarten), and then went through Berkshire and Groves, it was a riot seeing your photos. My last visit to Beverly Hills was last year, when I helped my Mom pack her home on Locherbie, as she was moving in to a senior's housing development in Atlanta, near my younger brother, also a Groves grad. Boy, I hope I can get to be 84, drive a Cadillac and hustle poker games in the Dining Room like my Mom has been able to do!

I remember going to Wesley's on my bike to get baseball cards (it is still there, but the soda fountain is long gone) and playing hockey behind Queen of Martyrs in the winter. My one real memory of a teacher from Greenfield was Miss Craig (long before Ms. was in use). I remember she was young and had red hair, and boy, did I have a crush on her. 5th grade, I recall.

Thanks for the memories!
