I never met a better group of men to serve with. I knew nothing, but with a 1st Class Rm to run radio and comms. A QM1 who could bring the Moctobi back from Hawaii using sun lines and knew every ship and CO by heart, I did OK! We had a great CO and a BMC who knew the deck and equipment...the list could go on!!!

Reported 1982 in Port Huename and went on that ill fated trip where we towed the USS Nautilus to Panama Canal then got stranded in Panama for about 2 months when the Main Propulsion broke. I remember having a female XO at that time. I went from there to the USS Buchanan (DDG-14) which was in the Long
Beach Naval Shipyard.

Looking for any one who may have info/photos of the Falls of Clyde tow into Honolulu (1963 I think). I was on the YTM-195 from Pearl Harbor that met the tug and we then took the tow on into the dock.
We did get a quick 'tour' aboard after we made up to the Clyde.
Hoping to hear from anyone back in those days.
