They had three sons, George b 1870, Harry b 1872 and Charlie b 1874. Hiram had a brother William "Henry" Shepard that came to Florida as a boy with a Doctor Joseph Davis Mitchell, I descend from Henry Shepard. Hiram and Henry's mom and Dad was James b 1786 and Mary Knox Shepard, Newfield Maine. Hiram's Mother Mary"Polly" Shepard lived in Lowell Mass, after her husbands death 1868, untill she died in the 1890's, with her daughter Elizabeth Hartford.
