Wonderful explanation/summary of A/C charging systems. It really clarified things for me as a mechanic and pilot.

Last week while troubleshooting another issue, I noticed the wires to my "highvoltage" light in my 1977 Cessna Cardinal were not attached to the light. It was the original light and the light crumbled when I took it out. When I replaced the highvoltage light, the light turned on when the BAT switch was on, but the light turned off with the ALT switch on (both). Your charging system information gave me my answer. Now I have an added safety feature in the plane which I suspect never worked since the plane was purchased (5 years ago). I have added your charging information to my favorites.

I read your article on the charging system and found it well written and easy to understand. Thank you.
