My dear precious little Danny has gone to be with the Angels now ~ He went to Heaven on Friday evening August 14th. at approximately 8:00 PM.
I took him to the vets that evening with difficulty breathing and after an X-Ray and drawing fluid from his lungs they found massive cancer throughout his chest and lung cavity. The vet told me that he had to be put to sleep immediately as he was suffering and needed to be let go. I held my sweet baby close and kissed him and told him how much I loved him while he went to sleep. And being the sweet little love that he is he looked up at me with those huge golden eyes as if to say I know Mom. It is time for me to go. I have never cried so much in my life and my heart is broken. He was just the sweetest little cat and never complained about anything. Even dying.
God Bless you my little darling Danny. Mommy loves you and misses you so very much. I will never forget you.
You were only 5 years old when you went to kitty heaven.
Danny ~ August 27th. 2004 ~ August 14th. 2009
Right now this is still sinking in as he passed away only 4 days ago. I loved that little cat so much. He would come and sit with me on the computer each morning and liked to be held really close so that he could hear and feel my heart beating. Then he would shower me with kitty kisses. I miss those special times terribly. He and his brother Pepe would help me make the bed. They loved to scoot under the bed sheets. Today there was only Pepe.
The window perch where he sat for hours watching the birds and squirrels each day is now terribly empty. There is a very noticeable void in my home where this wonderful little cat who was so full of love used to be.
This all happened so suddenly. My little boy was panting and gasping for breath Friday evening. I called the vet and they said to bring him right in. After an X-Ray and finding something terribly wrong in his chest cavity ( which they showed me on the X-Ray) the vet wanted to draw fluid from his lungs to see what was going on. Within 2 minutes she returned to the room with a syringe full of bloody material to show me and told me that he was in very bad condition and had cancer. I asked her if she was 100% sure. She said that she was 99% sure and if it wasn’t that it was something equally as bad and there was no hope at all for him. She also told me in no uncertain terms that he needed to be put to sleep now as he was suffering. I held my baby close and said good bye as they gave him the injection. I will never forget how he looked up at me to tell me it was alright and say goodbye to his Mom. What an unselfish love he had for me. Within seconds he was gone from my life.
I didn’t want to see Danny dead; but then I decided at the last minute that I needed to see him before I left. I asked the Technician to let me be with him for a few minutes; so she layed him on the table wrapped in a blanket. I went in and there was this sweet little angel laying there still with love in his eyes. I kissed the back of his head several times and petted him and cried a lot before I left.
Right now my heart is so broken; but I am trying to comfort a grieving Pepe; who wasn’t eating and cries and wonders through the house looking everywhere for his brother Danny. This morning I brushed him thoroughly with the Furminator to relax him and make him feel better. Then I played with him with their feather toy and then he helped me make the bed. This extra attention helped and he finally ate a little breakfast for the first time since Friday night. I think I need to make this time to play with Pepe and show him extra attention each day now.

I put my sweet "Bodie" to rest on 3-5-09. He was losing the fight to liver disease. He was such an awesome companion. We had 9 years together. I love him and will miss him. His memory will live inside of me forever.

We lost our beloved Daisy on February 4th 2009. Just one day before my birthday. The loss is unbearable. Daisy was my soulmate & after nearly 16 years on unconditional love & companionship- I am lost.
I am thankful I had her for these years, though sorely missed, I know her suffering is now over.
Ours though is just beginning.
