Query: I have an Andrew Hunter who married Nancy Susan Jackson in 1873. In 1880 they are in Gallatin Co. I am searching for Andrew's parents. There is an Andrew Jackson in the 1850 census, married to Sarah with a daughter Mary. My Andrew would have been born in 1851. Any way to find out if the 1850 Andrew is my Andrew's dad? He is in Gallatin Co so there is a good chance. Thanks.

Query: Researching family of John ERVIN/IRVIN/IRVING. John was born circa 1855 in Randolph Co., Ill. He was the son of Nicholas and Mary (HARMON) IRVIN. Circa 1859, John and his parents moved from Randolph Co. to Gallatin Co., Ill. Circa 1877, John married Martha A. SLAYTON. They had the following children: Sarah Elizabeth, born Apr-1878 in Pope Co., Ill.; Louisa J., born circa 1880; and James Nicholas, born Oct-1882 in Hardin Co., Ill. Believe John must have died sometime between 1882-1887. His wife, Martha, remarried in Oct-1887 to Charles L. THOMAS in Saline Co., Ill. Would like to exchange information with anyone having knowledge of this family.
