Tuesday 08/28/2007 2:08:49pm Name: Anon E-Mail: Homepage Title: Homepage URL: Referred By: Web Ring Location: USA Comments: Although you didn't know you had GBS and couldn't then have known this it is important that in telling your story you make sure the world knows that this could have been prevented in several ways: 1) If you knew you were GBS+ with the test, you could have then received the antibiotics during labor especially after PROM with no contractions coming on their own; and 2) All women should decline any cervical exams and especially shouldn't allow cervical gel to be place on the membranes if they know they are GBS+. Each time the doctor puts his fingers inside to touch your cervix, he is pushing that GBS bacteria up into the cervix. If you went 30 hours after water breaking and had the GBS introduced into the cervix by the doctor's fingers, this is why your baby died. I'm sorry this happened to you but your doctor killed your baby by introducing common bacteria into your baby's womb with his fingers. I wish your breaking hearts to be healed and hope your message changes a bit to not only tell of why she died but exactly how she died and how it could have been prevented in order to save other families' from this heartache.
