Comments: My descendants all come from Stoney Stanton, actually all should be Tansers but for a mistake on a birth certificate in 1779 for Thomas Tansey son of Francis Tanser, in Ashby Magna.

I believe some of my relatives must have been regular worshippers at St Michaels over the last 300 years or so.

Elizabeth Tansey of your stained glass window I guess was one of them.

I'd be interested to hear from any Tanseys that still worship at St Michaels or live in the area.

I do have close rlatives still living in the Hinkley area.

I hope to get down to visit the Church soon.

Yours Sincerely,

Brian R Tansey.

Comments: Greetings to all the wonderful people I met whilst visiting my cousin, Eddie Bestwick, this Summer.
One of the high points was Celebrate 80! at Abby Park. The weather could not have been better - the day was glorious.
My cousin, Eddie Bestwick, and I met a group of my friends, from St. Luke's, Cleveland, Tennesseewere at Coventry Cathedral. We joined them, on their tour coach, to Abbey Park and Celebrate80!
This was truly a day we will long remember. It was a beautiful sunny day, spirits were high. Amongst all those attending - there was an air of utter joy and fellowship.
The evening at the Cove, later ... with the typically English meal, the meeting of folk who, to this point had just been names, was exciting as they got to know one another.
Sunday...how can one put into words the feeling of emotion we felt upon entering St. Michael's and seeing our two countries flags adorning each side of the altar?
The service was beautiful and very meaningful.
Rectors Dave Shaw and Joel Huffstetler did us proud. Eddie Bestwick sang in the choir, and I was honoured to read a lesson.
The final, and ultimate, thrill was when your Organist, at the end of the service, played "The Star Spangled Banner"
It was quite noticeable that many tears fell...happy tears!
Now all are home and settled once more, we re-live that weekend, the ties made are strong. Our hope is that a party of you will come to Tennessee, and let us give you a "look" at our little corner of this world of ours...and we will shower you all with loving hospitality.

Thank you, St. Michaels...for the visit of a lifetime.
We will never forget you.

God's Peace and love to all,

Joanie Harper, St. Luke's, Cleveland, Tennessee, USA.

Comments: I would like to thank Edwina Wallace for coming into my home at Easter to share and bring to life the Easter Story. I work as a childminder and Edwina helped both the children and myself understand the true meaning of sacrifice and forgiveness,
Many Thanks
Jo Hudson
