Comments: Greetings,Death Rattlers. My Dad, Harald Tonnessen, designed the original patch. He made wonderful pencil portraits of his mates in WWII/Okinawa, so many of your faces are "known" to me.
Dad passed away on December 31,2009 early in the morning. Never sick, he went strait to his Maker.

Comments: Hi, Decided to look up VMF-323 after finding my brother's Coffee cup with the Death Rattlers Insignia, and VMF-323 on the cup. He was an aviation mechanic in USMC and worked on FA-18's...he loved those birds......cool site!
