Hey! I found you by searching and totally agree with you. I am 16, and my little sister, Kaitlyn (5 yrs) has been diagnosed with autism, but recently has been tested for Angelman's, a syndrom where the child most likely will never speak. The results are pending. It's really hard for a teen sib of a kid who is special needs. Not only must you deal with the normal sadness, but you have to deal with the "you are such a RE-tard!" and such, even from those who don't really mean anything by it. And sometimes I feel like I have to be cheerful and positive, since my mom is weepy and my dad is pessimistic. But, this is really nice, and I hope that you'll write to me and we can talk.

Keep up your spirit!!!
Where are you located?
We are in Northern Kentucky.
I found the same thing you did, there are Parent Groups, and SibShops, but the older siblings are left out. Our group focuses on adults who are left to take care of their siblings after the parents are no longer able to. But you gave me some insight to a different point of view.
God Bless you!
