I'm the guy that made this website 3-4 years ago. It was a school assinment. Sorry I've not be around for quite some time. I will be setting up a brand new site. Lots more indepht info. Last summer was butal for the shore fishermen around Victoria. With the warmmer water close to shore I went almost the whole summer without a spring. I got to work as a fishing guide up at winter harbour for a month and a bit. Learnt so much, it was a chance of a life time. I was down on the inside of the breakwater last night and we could not keep the nice size rockcod & big lingcod off our lines. I caught over 15 big canary rockcod. It's painful having to release all the lings but they are nice to see. Lots of blue lingcod on the inside 50% or more! Keep your fingers crossed for an opening this summer. I don't have a van anymore so do almost all my shorefishing at the breakwater. Look for us on the inside - it's the best late afternoon untill dark and all night if your up for it.
