Comments: I came to Torii straight from Ft. Devens, MA in May 1973 at the ripe old age of 20 and I served my 18 months doing a 6-2 rotating shift in the box as a SP4 O5K. I remember: Richard Michaels and his wife and son, NamMyoHoRenGeKyo buddy ; Nelson Bethke; Dave Toth; Mike Drees and wife; Steve Whittig; Gary Royer; Pete (from the Nam) Johnson and his bride Ola, Bill (4 stroke) Roose and wife; Jim (country boy) Freeman; Roger Smith; Rich Masterson; Gay (Sunshine) Newman; Clay from Oklahoma; Mark Burchfield; many more faces and memories but the names escape.

Comments: I was NCOIC of the MP's 1978-80. I had a great group of guys/gals to work with.Enjoyed scuba diving, especially between midnight-4 AM. My daughter was born there also (Kuwae Hospital)

Comments: I Really reading your web page & seeing all the photos. I was a 32D40 assigned to Futenma Relay, the main commcenter 8/64 to 9/65. Our barracks was bldg 1208 in the Machinato service Area near Naha, so I never made it to Torii station. Would like to return to Okinawa myself to see the changes
