Comments: The 25 May 1955 Sumner County tornado that had 5 victims was in Wellington. 13 year old Nancy Faye King was baby sitting 4 of her siblings aged 1 to 7 in the family home. 4 other children were with their mother visiting relatives. The are buried in Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Wellington, Sumner, Kansas.
