Comments: Hi Lori, Thanks for letting me into your lesbian/literary world here! I feel like I've been initiated into some secret society. Please don't make me drink blood! Please don't brand me with venus symbols! Anyway, you know I love you. Tell all your friends to buy my book. Buy dump-truckfuls of my book! YOU ARE A MAIN (GAY) CHARACTER, YOU KNOW! hugs, Phoebe

Comments: Hey, I've been a shameless time waster for years -- can't believe I haven't gotten off my lazy ass and signed this thing already. Anyhow- to the perplexingly great Ms. Bloom- thank you for the countless hours of entertainment and satiety!!!

Comments: Anything I say here cannot praise your work enough. I surfed in, out of curiousity, wondering what all this 'Mel and Janice' business was (I was new to Xena, gasp!) Anyway. You have turned a tiny facet of the Xena universe into a creation that is truly your own field. Your Mel/Janice stories are the best works of fanfiction I have ever read (to call this fanfiction is an insult), and alse the finest stories I have read in general for a long time. This is someone who has spent hundreds of pounds in the past few months alone on books, hoping to find something that moves me. Your use of language, your obvious research into the topics, and your literary references are all a delight. I have yet to look at your 'trash' series, as I'm still just finishing Coup de Grace, but no doubt I will, when I mourn having read all the Mel/Janice. I hope you don't mind that I print these out so I can read them in the park, in the sun, trying to envisage how a dusty, angry Dr Covington must feel on her latest excavation!

Great stuff. Truly delighted that I found your work.

Comments: I'll never forget your writing. I'm having my printed copy of Coup de Grace bound for my nieces to inherit. The Mel/Janice stories have meant that much to me. When i first came out of my closet i began reading fanfiction. It truly meant the world to me. I would read all nite. I came across some good sites, some earnest sites, & some not so good or earnest. Along the way i found DJ Redhawk, Nene Adams, and V Darkbloom & LN James. (If there are other greats, someone please let me know.)

How do i express to you what i'm feeling about your writing. The gut emotions, the ones we hide and the ones we try to hide, and the ones we blurt out. The grace humans display & the downright wrong we do sometimes in the same sentence or gesture.

A dear internet friend sent me a book: Jerusalem by C. Holland. The last paragraph or so of the book reads --

"Rannulf lifted his eyes again to the burning sky. A ruthless joy filled him. He knew himself on the verge of transformation. Like a weight of stones the buden of his life slipped from him. He had not realized before how his life bound him down. He felt light as the air, already rising...the sword swung."

Coup de Grace, so rightfully named, lifted me.

You rock. You roll. You make me feel like Janice and Mel.
