Comments: I am looking for any member of 'Mike' Company who were on board RFA Tidespring in 1982, for the re-capture of South Georgia as we would like to include your recollections and stories of life aboard an RFA in the book.

If you feel that you can help please drop me a line on the above e mail.
Also we are planning a reunion of the crew from this ship in 2007 and anyone from 'M'Coy who was on board in the Falklands Campaign would be very welcome.

Comments: I've just read the new book AMONGST THE MARINES by Steven Preece. I found it original and interesting. I liked how it had practically no information on military exercises or tours but concentrated on the marine's social lives. Some of the stuff in the book was disgusting, but in a funny way. In fact, I read this book in one go alternating between hysterical laughter, extreme interest, disgust and a huge sadness. And that's usually the mark of an excellent personal story.

I was never bored at any point in it, although I found the constant drinking sesions and fights to get a bit repetetive towards the end. However all in all, I found it an interesting and personal book. Well Done Steve.

EDIT: I wouldn't want to get in the way of your forehead!
