We encountered a typhoon in the South China Sea and diverted to Subic Bay. While at Subic, myself and several other individuals were pulled out of the force and remained in Subic to set up a repair depot in the rear...lucky I guess but angry at the time...I saw many of my brothers over the course of the next months come to the Phillipines for R&R or as wounded in casual rehab...Saepe Expertus, Semper Fidelis, Fratres Acterni (Often Tested, Always Faithful, Brothers Forever
