And always listen to them even now... Have all of their vinyl and much of the CD stuff. I am always amazed that the music business let this happen, but it did, and then Pete Ham died, the soul of the group essentially died with him. When I listen to his anguished home recording of No More, I always think that it should be an anthem to recording artists everywhere. His emotionally charged songs still hit your heart, and again, just listening to home recording of Silly Veb, or Lonely You, or Song for a Lost Friend shows just how his own personal being is set into each song. The band's chemistry, though a bit crazy, seemed to enhance their music, but sadly we have just a short discography. My Dad was a big fan of Day after Day...I remember driving with him as we delivered papers at 4:00AM in his car on Long Island, and when that came on, my Dad would actually slow the car down to listen to Pete sing...then Baby Blue was released right afterward...then my Dad broke down and bought his first rock and roll album in probably 15 years (he swung over to Elvis and country in the 60's) and bought Straight Up. Glad to see someone keeping Badfinger alive and trying to push Badfinger into the R & R Hall of Fame.

Remember great gigs and visiting them near Hampstead Heath. My brother s band The Klooks covered a lot of their songs.
