I'm really happy to see that there is a fanwebsite for this actor! I really like him! When I was a child I was fond in love him! (Yes yes!) Now, I watch on tv, sometimes The New Adventure of Robin hood with a certain nostalgy. (It is the good word? In french "nostalgie" means a regret of the past...euhh yes I should be that) I love too "Sacré Robin des Bois", I laught at every time. That it is funny, it is that now I study medieval litterature and it is thanks to Matthew Poretta. I will work for my master, on Robin Hood and for my licence I made a work on Robin Hood and I have presented this serial. My teacher says me "Oh I don't know this serial (movie) what is it" and when I have explained what it was she says me "Ok I will see". So...now, I think that Matthew Poretta is really a good actor and for me, this kind of way of act (ok probably it is not really english) like Tim Curry in The Rocky Horror Picture show (l) with good expressions with eyes and charism. I do love your site. I think Matthew is a very great actor as well as a handsome guy and I am glad his work is being recognised here. His favourite role of mine is in The New Adventures of Robin Hood. His portrayal of Robin was superb and as I live near Nottingham, I adore the Robin Hood legend and the series itself. I also liked Barbara Griffin who played Marian in Series 2 of the show, but I have to admit I thought she was American (had no idea that the actress was Irish). I wonder what sort of ancestry the divine Matthew has, it must take some pretty fantastic genes to make this beautiful specimin of male, and such a talented man as well. Does anyone know if Matthew is married? I also wondered if that was Matthew's real hair in the Robin Hood series or if it was a wig? He had such lovely, lustrous hair in the show...................I hope to see some more of this actor's work in the near future and I hope his career hits the big-time soon, he deserves success. He is so talented. P.S. Has anyone met Matthew in person and what is he like? Did he enjoy filming Robin Hood in Lithuania? Any plans to bring back the series again? The fans would absolutely love it!
