Comments: Hi! I just linked to your site after running a search on one of my ancestors, Ansel Faunce. Our family records him as being married to Hope Bene (but I know nothing about her and the spelling could be wrong - that's why I was searching)and we are decended from his son, Barnaby. The reason I am writing is to let you know that his father was actually the third Thomas Faunce. The third Thomas married Sarah Bartlett whose ancestry traces back to the Mayflower. His father, the 2nd Thomas, was married to Lydia Barnaby. His father, the first Thomas, was married to Jane Nelson. The first Thomas was the son of John Faunce and Patience Morton. John Faunce came to Plymouth on the ship Anne in 1623. The first Thomas Faunce was the one who identified Plymouth rock.
