Have just read "The War of the Worlds Mystery" and being a great War of the Worlds fan thought I would let you know how much I enjoyed it. It had me roaring with laughter in parts & I enjoyed the O Wells portraillal as well .Many thanks for a great read.

Nice site.
I have been a fan of Max's since the "Wild Dog" series back in the late 1980's.
I have two questions:
1) why isn't Wild Dog listed here (or Ms. Tree)?
2)Does Max have any plans to re-release Ms.Tree as a graphic novel set?
Again, nice site and keep up the good work.
Sincerely,
J.L.Behrend

Someone on a blog I read regularly just mentioned Max Collins was her favorite author and it took me back. Was this the same Max Collins who lived near us in Muscatine when I was growing up? We lived at the end of Park Avenue and Max's house was down a side street a few blocks from ours. I remember my dad telling me that he was a famous cartoonist (Dick Tracy back then), but what impressed me at the time was the fact that we could count on getting the best treats from his house on Halloween night! :) I hadn't thought of him in years and it's wonderful to see how well he's doing and how popular he's become. Muscatine was a great little town to grow up in!
