I am female and of pretty good humor so went along and had a swell time until after the fact and got thinking, "Do they think I'm an ass?" And then I was totally embarassed as everyone else was still laughing my face became beet red. Long story short, my husband has since informed me that this is not an insult but a joke. That we are all "donkeys" at one time or another and it is just good fun. I looked up Irish jackass and your site came up-if you have any insight it would be appreciated ---and I love your site about Conan O'Brien-He is beautiful and funny and his inspiration is well showcased through you!!
