Comments: Does anyone remember crossing the equator on Unitas IV in the Pacific, with only one (1) pollywog on board ??
I was that lone polly wog, and the ship went through the whole ceremony just for me.
I was a TDY Electronic Technician Second Class at the time. Assigned to work on the South American ships on Unitus IV and put on the USS Hammerburg DE 1015 for transportation.
If anyone remembers please let me know.
