Comments: Found this web site because I wanted to find out more about history/development/demise of Network Southeast. Images of promotional material and network maps are of particular interest because I work in ticket sales for one of the TOCs. There are variations on the Network Map that I'm keen to pick up on (http://www.rodge.force9.co.uk/html/map.htm). These include the direct North Downs line between Reading and Tonbridge, a rail link to Tilbury Riverside, Upminster as a terminus point for the Ockendon line (pre Chafford Hundred of course), Dorking as the terminus for trains from Warnham and the fact the whole map is far easier to read on the whole! esp re the mish mash of South London lines heading from Waterloo, Victoria and London Bridge.
If I had the power, I'd reinstate Network Southeast.
