I my family we have the Burge or Burrage name. I have seen it spelled both ways for the same woman who was my great Grandmother. She lived her married life in Alabama but I do not know if she was born in Alabama or not. She was supposed to be native american half or whole I do not know. Saphronia Burrage or Burge born in the 1860-1875? aprox. she had a sister named Doshie and a brother I believe named Tom "Fronie" married George W. Fuller born in 1867 they had several children here are some of their names are: Nellie my grandmother, Ruffus,Lige,Bell,Betty,Ola,Minnie. They were both buried in Alabama.....I believe the cemetery name is Hepzibah. I know it is very little to go on but it is all I have.
