I have been on several of the trips you described. It was fun seeing the views from someone else's camera lens.

I'm looking for moderate loop day hikes with lots of trees and meadows. maybe 10-15 miles. (May-Aug) Within 70 miles of Stockton, CA. Any suggestions?

I was wondering where I might find and join hiking and biking groups and clubs in central and northern California!
Also, lists of trails that are pet friendly.
Thanks,
Tim

I have recently attained a great interest in hiking in the Sierras and find this the best site yet for first-hand hikes and experience in the area. Also provides great insight for those of us who may be interested in experiencing the Sierras first-hand. Thank you!

I enjoyed meeting you at Hamilton Lake last week, and have since enjoyed reading some of your impressive exploits on your web page. I was also fairly amazed by the size of your pack and the fact that you didn't have any hiking poles! You must have super-human knees and quads!
