My father was the head of the film dept. for KCOP TV in the 50's. His name was Irving Gushin.
He spoke a lot about you. I remember your name.
My son, Daryl has a website in rememberance of his grandfather. There is information on KCOP and you can hear my fathers songs. http://irvinggushin.com
Enjoy,
Joan

Hej Sven,
Britt told me about your web site. Terrific! Hope everyone is well at your house. Things are going fine here. I too, am getting into radio, as a hobby of course. A friend of mine, who works for Infinity Broadcasting, has given me the old KFI transmitter. They went stereo. I have bought an antenna and would like to pick your brain about getting the thing started. It worked fine at first now every time I turn it on my radio just hums on all frequencies. What am I doing wrong. And do you know what type of license I should look into. The transmitter is made by Motorola and is 50,000 watts peak?! I left it on one night and it got very hot. I played old time radio shows from my long play tape deck for most of the night. It started smelling so I shut it down. My neighbor across the street got the programs clear and loud. Anyway hope this finds you all are well and on the golf course.
