Comments: Looking for information on my cousin; Jerry Martin who served and was wounded...later died from complications. Jerry was a paratrooper w/ the 173rd (as I recall). I remember seeing him at my grandmothers house (kentucky) in 65 before he left for vietnam; and again later after he returned (wounded by mine/was confined to a wheelchair) and died one night...he had a siezure.

Comments: LRRPS, LRPS, and just plain Recon have been the most under recognized units to come out of Vietnam. The intelligence gathered by the Long Range Recon Patrols saved many lives, and gave Divsion, Brigade and Battalion planners much needed intelligence for planning operations. My hat is off to you and all LRRPS/LRPs and hope your full stories will be told to the American public soon!
