Comments: It was a true pleasure to see Carroll O'Connor on "All in the Family" and also on "In The Heat Of The Night" in his brilliant portrayal as Bill Gillespie. There will never be another Carroll O'Connor. My favorite episode was when Ed Ames guest starred and Bill had to turn Ed in because he had a drinking problem and people died because of his recklessness. Rest in peace, Mr. O'Connor. We miss you but will treasure the episodes of "Heat of the Night" and "Family".....God bless.

Comments: i lost my dad june 12 2007 at the age of 67. he looked so much like archie it is amazing. everytime i watch all in the family, i think of my dad. also kind of strange is if you turn dads age and death day around, you get archies age and passing day. june 21, and age 76 in the month of june.

Comments: I bought several dvds of old series recently,in many of them CARROLL O'CONNOR guest star.We tend to forget that before ALL IN THE FAMILY,he was a great character actor.He is particulary good in THE TIME TUNNEL, THE WILD,WILD WEST,MISSION IMPOSSIBLE,THE FUGITIVE,THE OUTER LIMITS and I SPY.
