We were directed to an amazing doctor who realized that she needed to begin taking thyroid replacement immediately. Soon after she began taking it we noticed dramatic differences in her personality, her hair, teeth, ability to interact with her environment and physical development. She remains small, but has grown since she began that treatment. The doctors are still checking her labwork every three months to decide whether or not she will have to take growth hormone. However, we were also told at one time that her body would not grow much, but that her organs would continue to grow (same as you). However, since the thyroid treatment has started she has grown. We are prayerfully hopeful that her condition was "transient" or is in recovery or something like that, but we are still in the midst of this and unsure of what the outcome will be. I don't know if any of this will help you at all, but the case is strikingly similar. Her condition was discovered at 9 months. Apparently she stopped growing around 6 months. She is 17 months old now, so the two are not the same age. We will say a prayer for your family as you wade through this. I hope any of this helps. What a beautiful little boy!

Today, 10.30.07 i ran across it by accident. "Christopher" was 2 years old then and i cannot believe there have been no updates since 2000. "Christopher should either reached 9 years old by now or is dead. I also wonder if you have recieved any monetary contributions since 2000. .......things that make me go hmmmmmmm.
