Comments: Nice Site!!!
Great Pictures!!! That car was my parent's first car back in the early 50's. I only have one memory of it,,
I must have been only 3 years old at the time. I woke up in the back
seat in the middle of a raging thunder storm on top of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on our way to Ocean City, Maryland for a Summer vacation. The traffic was at a stand still because of the storm and you could hardy see anything. My parents still have pictures of it, I know it was black. My Dad was a P51 Mustang pilot and after WWII, he said it was really hard to buy a car,,even used ones because cars were in such demand!!!
For a while there he gave up and just used Street cars and Public transportation.
But in 49 or 50 he managed to lay his hands on that model. From the pictures he has the car appeared to be in great shape, a two door model I think. He later traded it in for a 1955 Plymouth Belvedere two tone green model, again two door.

Comments: Great site. Thanks for sharing. When I was in high school in the 60's I drove a 1949 Special DeLuxe 4 dr Plymouth. Had to give it up in college. But two years ago I purchased a 1948 2 dr P-15 Sedan so I'm in heaven again. So the car and I were born in the same year. Now my grandchildren get to experience the ride as I did back in 1966.
