Comments: I feel small and inadequate when I view and talk to the many brave men and women of all wars, but especially of the Vietnam War. I have Vietnam Veteran friends which I admire and I am very proud to say that they are my friends. I have friend at work that I have utmost respect for. I can simply say "Welcome Home" to those that have served. I am 36 years of age. I joined the Army at age 17 between my junior and senior year of high school. I served as an Army Reservist until receiving my discharge and joining the Marines for 6 years which, regretfully, was unable to serve out due to my handicap son that needed my full attention. Basically, I guess that I feel guilty and sorry that I was not able to serve in a more active way to show my respect for those that have gone before us and have laid there lives out.
I wish that I could do more. I tried fervently to stay in and serve in the military. I hope that I have done what I could have to show veterans of my respect despite the problems that arose in my life. So, I can only say, on behalf of the great veterans that I have the honor to be associated with today, and all,
WELCOME HOME!!!
