Comments: Hi there, so happy to see others with Axolotls. I have a few months ago bought 2 males, Mushu and Mojo. Apparently they are not a known specie in Denmark and it is very hard to get any information on them, so thank you sooo much for the help on your site. Now I can finally adjust the aquarium for better life. They are doing very well I feed them primarily with frozen tubiflex worms (to avoid bacteria) and frozen shrimps and raw fish (also frozen first)
A good tip is to freeze all their food and defrost them again, it kills a lot of bacteria.
