They lived in Carlyle, Il. between 1868 and 1889. They had 10 children: William b 1868, Wilhemina b 1868, Maggie b 1870, John F Jr (my grandfather) b 1871, Emma b 1872, Alvina b 1878, Ledru b 1881, Albert b 1882 (in Salisbury, Mo), Theodore b 1886, and George b 1889. The only birth I have been able to verify is Albert's. All of the Carlyle births are a mystery. William died at birth or shortly after. I believe he was a twin to Wilhemina. Maggie also died at birth. I can find no information on this family in the Illinois state archives and am puzzled where to look next. ANY information or suggestions would be deeply appreciated. Looking for information about my father, William Voss, who according to several documents, was born in Clinton County, Illinois in either 1919 or 1928. He moved to Dayton, Ohio in the early 1950s and resided there until his death in 1986. Possible names of parents were Willard or Wilbur, and Adrian. May have had a sister named Ruth? and brother Raymond. He was in the produce/grocery business. No other information at this time. Any help will be appreciated. William A. Voss
