I live in California and know that I won't be that way anytime soon. What I am looking for is a way that I can do the research on my family members. But I am not familiar of any websites (other than Ancestry.com, which I have a full-membership for), that would have birth, death, and marriage information. Is there anyone out there that could recommend some good sites? I want to visit the courthouse for records, the cemeteries, places of interest Cedarville, Jasper(?), libraries, genealogy collections, archived newspapers etc What/how are the records kept there and does anyone have any pointers they might share? I will only have a couple of days and need to get in as much as possible.
