Location: Clearwater, Florida Comments: Hi Ron, thanks so much for your beautiful and very informative tribute to the Titanic. I am so very glad that so many people of all ages are now becoming so interested in the great lady of the deep. I, myself, have been fascinated with her since 1957, when I was only ten years old.My grandmother told me the story of two friends of hers who were coming to America from Sweden on board the Titanic. They were brother and sister. She was fortunately, able to survive, but her dear brother was lost along with so many others to the icy waters of the North Atlantic. Ever since I heard that story, I have had respect for what the power of the mighty oceans of the world are capable of. It is just so tragic that way back then in 1912, due to the arrogance of a few individuals, that so many had to lose their lives along with the loss of such a grand ocean liner.Hopefully, never again.
