This was Land Rovers first attempt at mating 4 wheel drive system to an auto gearbox . Apparently only about 125 of these were ever made , to special order: some with the ABS as per the Jensen. Mine is unfortunately without ABS ! Just looking for stuff on the FF 'box, seems that no-one has anything to do with them now, although I'm told that Schuler (Range Rover converters - 5.0ltr V8's etc) in Hampshire have some details on the FF boxes and some ability to repair them ! On p167, talking of the P99, he reports .... "it's day of glory was not forgotten and as recently as 1997 Moss named it as his favourite F1 car. High praise indeed for the bastard son of a tractor".
