Comments: What better on a crappy hot hot hot Adelaide Spring day than a bit of Stella Street and a cold cordial? Got the DVDs of series #1, 2, and 3 recently -brilliant!! It's great to see Stella Street in nice clear DVD.. I love the Stella Street movie, the extras on the disc are fab too -"Len and the art of motorcycle maintenance" etc -I'd love to know the full story behind the changes to Stella Street in the movie -the street is a more affluent leafy cul de sac than the TV series' street, which was a more crowded inner London location. And many of my favorites are absent -no Roger Moore, John Hurt, or Dirk Bogarde, and I'm only luke-warm re: Ronnie Ancona.. Oh well, I'll be back in the Australian summer to mumble some more..

Why do I love Stella Street? -'cause it's so "mental"!! I'd rather meet the characters of Stella Street than the real Mick and Keith, or Roger Moore, etc -fantastic escapist fun, Sessions and Crew are brilliant, I wish they'd do some more!! Since Stella Street, I can't look at Caine,Jagger, Hill, et al, or the post WW2 "Huggetts" movies with a straight face anymore!! Thanks so much for this site, keep it up PLEASE!!!!!
