Thomas was a miner living in Cabin Creek WV when he died of typhoid in 1931. Anyone have any information on Alden's grandson (through Solomon)Richard Williamson? I know he married Serenna Copely. How about their son John - my great-grandfather? I recently discovered that his wife "Jennie" (1900 census)was actually Virginia Kathleen Jarrell. She died in her 30's. John later married a Lucinda and lived near his sons Thomas, Floyd, and Seymore for a while in Cabin Creek WV. I believe he died in Logan, WV where he was living with his son Frank. John's son Floyd was gunned down by a crooked sheriff named Walter Williams. Williams told Floyd to get down off his horse and Floyd told him to "go to Hell." So Walter Williams shot him in the back - just like he had done to 5 or 6 other men over the years. He was never prosectued for his misdeeds. If anyone knows more about this side of Alden Williamson's descendents, please let me know!
