In country we were family, at home an outcast. I remember it with pleasant dreams, and can only sympathize for those who hear only screams. A Tank Commander from the start, the smell of diesel smoke and cordite fumes oh be still my heart. From Wonder Beach to the Ho Chi Min Trail with coax scratching, 50's matching and main guns tracking, I felt no fear because I knew my buddies had my rear. So after so many years, of silent memories, and maybe some tears. I write this so all may know about Joe, John or maybe it was Sam. About the 1/77 Armor in a place called Viet Nam...
