Comments: My dad was born and raised in Pittsburg. His name was Kooch Marcus Sawrie, born January 23, 1927. Died February 24, 1979. His dad was Kooch Marvin Sawrie. His mom was Ruth Belle James Sawrie. I would love to know the origin of the name Sawrie ( I found some in Scotland in 1627), but I would also love to know the origin of the name Kooch.
