Comments: I am 28 years old and had a VP shunt placement when I was 2. 26 Years later I have the same one and I feel as if I am extremely lucky to have encountered zero problems since. I love surfing, kiteboarding, cycling, snowboarding, and virtually anything outdoors. I never let it slow me down, and I can only pray that other patients are handling life the same way... Because you never know which day is your last. Thanks for dedicating a site to this unfortunate disease.

Comments: I had a VP shunt operation July 08 and a "revision" Sept 08. I'm doing well now, but have some issues with fatigue, balance, ST memory--I think I'm still healing. Hang in there!
