Axioms Of Malcolm X:
  1. All thinking people today who have been oppressed are revolutionary. Anytime you find somebody today who's afraid of the word "revolution," get him on out of your way. he's living in the wrong era. He's behind the times. He hasn't awakened yet. This is the era of revolution...,
  2. You wouldn't be in this country if some enemy hadn't kidnapped you and brought you here. On the other hand, some of you think you came here on the Mayflower.
  3. Without education, you are not going anywhere.
  4. Our People were out right slaves, outright slaves. We pulled plows like horses. We were bought and sold from one plantation to another, like you sell chickens or like you sell a bag of potatoes. I read in one book were George Washington exchanged a blackman for a keg of molasses. Why, that blackman could have been my grandfather. You know what I think of old George Washington.
  5. The students all over the world are the ones who bring about change, old people don't bring about a change. I mean I'm not saying this against anybody thats old, I don't care how old you are. But if you're not ready for some action, I don't care how young you are, you're old... Some of us get too old while we're still in our teens.
  6. I know of no group that is promising, unless its radical. If it's not radical, it is in no way involved effectively in the present struggle.
  7. You waste you time involving yourself in any kind of organization that is not directly connected with our Sisters and Brothers on the African continent.
  8. When a person places a proper value on freedom, there is nothing under the sun that he will not do to aquire that freedom. Whenever you hear a man saying he wants freedom, but in the next breath he is going to tell you what he won't do to get it, or what he doesn't believe in doing in order to get it, he doesn't believe in freedom.
  9. Don't let anybody who is oppressing us ever lay the ground rules. Don't go by their game, don't play the game by their rules. Let them know now, that this is a new game, and we've got some new rules, and these rules mean anything goes, anything goes. Are you with me Brothers?
  10. We've got to link up with our people who are in the Caribbean, in Trinidad, in Jamaica, in all the islands, and we've got to link up with our people who are in Central America and South America. Everywhere you see someone who looks like us, we've got to get together. And once we get together, Brothers, we can get some action, because we'll find we are not the underdog. All those odds this man's talking about don't exist. He put them in our minds...right or wrong?
