Alec "Rice" Miller, aka SonnyBoy Williamson II, got his start early with harmonicas- and he had some interesting help. His sisters bought him a harmonica when he was not yet a teenager, and he sat under a tree and played it until it was blown out! This was repeated several times. He became one of the greats, and never wrote the lyrics of a song down, He would walk into a studio, usually late, step up to the mic, and proceed to play and sing what came to mind- more often than not, these sessions yielded songs which later became part of his rich repertiore.
