I am currently a fourth grade teacher in the public school system who has a Rastafarian child in my classroom. I have been reading up on the beliefs and practices and had a few questions. Should I ask his mother to let me know what types of treats or snacks are appropriate with his I-tal diet? This would pertain to the times when I treat the class. Also, should she inform me concerning his diet? The lunchroom provides him with a vegetarian meal. Thank you for your help. Lisa
On September 21, two humanist friends from California will be visiting Ethiopia. If you are living and working in Ethiopia and are interested in our project below, we would love to meet with you. / Have you ever imagined what the world would be like if everyone has access to a good education, to good health care and adequate housing? A world where violence is not used to resolve conflict? / To dream about these things is not enough. In order to achieve them it is necessary organize and build a solid human network of people who want positive change. / This is precisely what the Humanist Movement is attempting to do: to build a global network of people who want peace and who want to improve their communities for the better. / The Humanist Movement is an all-volunteer social organization working to make the world a better place. Currently there are members in over 60 countries, including many countries in Africa. And we would like to invite the people of Ethiopia to join us. If you are living and working in Ethiopia and are interested in the above themes, we would love to meet with you. / We will wait for your reply and hope to see you very soon. warm regards, Ken Dickinson, Mary Hobi, The Humanist Movement of California * ethiopiahumanists@yahoo.com

Esther: Hi I just ran accros your website about the Queens and Princesses of Ethiopia by accident at a search engine and must say I found it fasinating to say the least. I'm curious if things hadn't changed in Ethiopia and there were still Queens and Kings ruling the country would you be the Queen there right now? Or if they kept the monarchy the way England has kept theirs? This may sound like a dumb question but what's it like being brought up in a royal family? Do you still have people around you who think of you as the Queen or a Princess and have that type of relationship with you? I've often wondered what
and feeling of being a Queen or Princess? I hope you don't mind me asking you all these questions. I've always been fascinated by Kings, Queens and monarchies throughout history. I think there are even some left in the world that are actually in power in some smaller countries in Asia but I'm sure. Anyway thanks for your time and I really like your website. Bob
